What we collect
InstantWidget does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers. We do not operate servers that hold your content. The app runs on your device and on your own iCloud account.
The only data InstantWidget works with:
- Your cards (the photos, videos, drawings, and text you create) and the name you choose for yourself — stored locally on your device and synced through your iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit framework. When you connect with another person, the cards you send are shared with that one person through Apple’s CloudKit sharing. This data is encrypted by Apple and is never accessible to us.
We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, or any third-party data collection.
Camera, Microphone, and Photos
- Camera and Microphone are used only when you choose to take a photo or record a short video to send.
- Photos access is used only when you pick an existing photo to send.
Nothing is captured or uploaded unless you explicitly create and send a card.
How we use your data
We don’t. All app data stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your personal iCloud account and that of the person you connect with. We have no access to it.
Who we share it with
Only the person you choose to connect with, and only through Apple’s CloudKit sharing. We never sell or share your data with anyone, and there are no third parties involved.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, they are delivered by Apple’s push service to let you know when your person sends you a card. The notification content stays between your devices and Apple.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and your data from inside the app (Profile → Delete account). You can also remove the app, and you control your iCloud data through your Apple ID settings.
Children
InstantWidget is not directed to children under 13.

We may update this policy; the date above reflects the latest version.
