How do I install the connector?

First, install the companion Forge app on your Jira Cloud instance. Then, in Looker Studio, add a new data source and search for "Jira for Looker Studio" in the Community Connectors gallery.

What Jira editions are supported?

The connector supports Jira Cloud only. Jira Server and Jira Data Center are not supported.

Why am I seeing an authentication error?

Make sure the Forge app is properly installed on your Jira Cloud instance and that you have the necessary permissions to view the issues you want to report on. Try revoking and re-authorizing the connector.

How often does the data refresh?

Data is fetched in real-time each time your Looker Studio report is loaded or refreshed. Looker Studio also caches data according to its own caching policies.

Can the connector modify my Jira data?

No. The connector operates in read-only mode and cannot create, modify, or delete any data in your Jira instance.

How do I revoke access?

You can remove the connector from Looker Studio by deleting the data source. To fully revoke access, also uninstall the Forge app from your Jira Cloud instance in your Atlassian account settings.
